VENUE 2010
The Olympic Hall was originally built in 1961 and was completely reconstructed in 2005. The objective was to develop the original building into a modern arena that offers the necessary infrastructure and technical requirements for events of any shape or form. Sport events, concerts, TV broadcasts, conventions and trade fairs find a perfect home here. The hall was also a playing venue for the Men's 20 European Championship in 2006.

INFORMATION
Past and Future meet in the heart of the Alps: Innsbruck's world-famous sights, which testify to the province's great past, stand alongside post-modern international architecture to create a fascinating blend …
The Imperial Palace, Ambras Palace, Ottoburg and the Wilten Basilica all tell of Innsbruck's eventful past and its great figures including Philippine Welser, the secret wife of Archduke Ferdinand I, Andreas Hofer, the Tirolean freedom fighter, and last but not least Emperor Maximilian I, who built many of the monuments that survive today, e.g. the Golden Roof and his tomb at the Imperial Church.
With Dominique Perrault's Rathausgalerie and Zaha Hadid's Bergisel Ski Jump two outstanding new landmarks were added to Innsbruck's modern cityscape. The diverse attractions of the city – ranging from the famous Dance Summer to the Innsbruck Festival Week – coupled with the beautiful scenery make Innsbruck a destination that offers something for everyone.
Innsbruck is scenically squeezed between two impressive mountain chains. An absolute “must” on every visit to Innsbruck is a gondola ride up Seegrube (2000m) from where you enjoy spectacular views of the Inn valley and the surrounding mountains.
Innsbruck, host of the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 and 1976, has become a major winter sports center. Popular activities include skiing, snowboarding, ski mountaineering, snowshoeing, and skating. In the summer the region also boasts a whole host of outdoor sports such as cycling, mountain biking, paragliding, and, of course, hiking and walking in areas of great natural charm such as the Karwendel Alpine Park or Zirbenweg trail on Patscherkofel.
GOLDEN ROOF
Amidst the charming Old Town, a classic Austrian hybrid of Gothic and Baroque, you will find Innsbruck's greatest tourist attraction and certainly its most characteristic landmark: The Golden Roof.
IMPERIAL PLACE
The Imperial Palace at Innsbruck - the Capital of the Alps - once was seat of the Tyrolean sovereigns. The Palace, flanked by a set of domed towers, is a fine example of Baroque secular architecture. The structure has four wings and a splendid two-story Riesensaal (Giant´s Hall), painted in white and gold and filled with portraits of the Habsburgs. The Imperial Apartments consist of 25 state apartments dating from the 18th and 19th century and the Giants´ Hall (the Alps most lavish banqueting hall).
The Gothic Cellar can be rented for special events. Don´t miss a visit to the adjoining "Sacher" Café of Innsbruck.
THE NEW BERGISEL SKIJUMP
Towering high above Innsbruck on the wooded Bergisel Hill, the brand-new Bergisel Ski Jump is a sight to behold. The Tower stands 47 meters tall and provides spectacular views. The new facilities now can hold 28,000 spectators. Each year, the refurbished Bergisel Stadium plays host to the annual Four Hills Tournament in January and to a Summer Grand Prix Jumping Event. All Bergisel Stadium facilities, including gondola, elevator, panoramic café, and vantage spot on the jumping platform are open to visitors. From the stylish Restaurant there are uninterrupted panoramic views of the lofty surrounding peaks of Patscherkofel, Nordkette, Hohe Munde and Serles.
AMBRAS CASTLE
Ambras Palace is delightfully located above Innsbruck and is one of the city´s most noteworthy attractions.
